Graham Browne in New York!

Dan, me (in GB cashmere/silk jacket) and Russell.
I'm pleased to announce that my favourite City tailor, Graham Browne, will be coming to New York in May. Russell Howarth, the head cutter, will be making his first trip to the US for two days, on May 11 and 12.

Graham Browne already has several US customers, who will have appointments set up for fitting and consultations, but welcomes any new customers that want to come along. Far less importantly, I will also be in attendance on the morning of both days. So if, god forbid, someone would like my opinion on a cloth choice, or want a copy of the book signed, make sure to come along in the morning.

Enquiries and bookings should be made through the Graham Browne website or on the phone number,+44 (0) 20 7248 7730

As regular readers will know, Russell cut my first bespoke suit in London and I've been a loyal customer ever since. Graham Browne is, for me, the best value you can get anywhere. Have a search on the blog for more details.

  1. Great news. I hope i will be able to see you then. Question: "Choppin and Lodge" is same as "Graham Browne"? If not, what is relation?

  2. Russell and Dan own Graham Browne and cut everything for it.

Richard Wainwright (ex-Huntsman) is a salesman and travelling tailor who used to help out in the Graham Browne shop but set up his own brand, Choppin & Lodge, last year. He uses several cutters, including Russell when he has time.

The only confusion is that Richard still uses the downstairs at Graham Browne for his premises, so if you walk in you might bump into him.

    1. I hope Russell keeps enough of his time free to see customers in the shop. He is just cutting my 5th GB suit; 4th was better than 3rd,3rd was better than 2nd.

Best value in town by a mile.

  5. @Simon - I would certainly like to bring my copy of Le Snob: Tailoring and hopefully get a suit measured, too, in NYC. Do you have any more information on where GB will be, i.e. a store or a hotel room? Thanks.

  7. How does Choppin and Lodge compare to Graham Browne? Is either more suitable than the other for a first comission?

  8. They are not that different, just a few stylistic differences. I'd go with Graham Browne, which was my first love
